Long Island’s Police Heroes of 9/11 Honored at Annual David Lerner Associates Police Appreciation Run/Walk
Syosset, NY, August 13, 2007 -- Hundreds of Long Island walkers, runners and wheelchair athletes participated in the 5K David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run held June 14th at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow.
Sponsored by the Syosset-based investment firm of David Lerner Associates in conjunction with The Greater Long Island Running Club, the Police Run was begun 16 years ago to help Long Island law enforcement officers and their families in times of emergency. The entire net proceeds of the Run are given each year to a special Police Crisis Fund which has donated more than $150,000 to police officers and their families.
