This year David Lerner Associates' clients will receive 2 sets of tax reporting documents:
One set will include investment activity from January 1, 2017 through November 17, 2017.
The second document will report investment activity that took place after our transition to RBC Correspondent Services, between November 20, 2017 through December 29, 2017.
When will you receive your tax documents?
Mutual funds, REITs and UITs can reclassify income paid throughout the year, which may delay the final numbers to be reported. David Lerner Associates will send tax reporting documents (i.e. 1099s, etc.) when this final classification is done for most investments, around mid-March. RBC Correspondent Services will send out tax reporting documents in mid-February and then revised tax documents on March 17, 2018, if necessary.
If you hold mutual funds, REITs, and UITs in your account, you may want to wait until your receive all your tax documents and revised tax documents, sometime after March 17, 2018.
How long do I have to make a 2017 IRA/Roth IRA contribution?
You have until April 17, 2018 to make 2017 IRA/Roth IRA contributions.
