27th Annual David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run Announced

“For 27 years, David Lerner Associates has worked hard to make this event a continued success that supports our local police officers and their families when they need it most. We look forward to this event each year, and this year is expected to be the best yet,” said John Dempsey, president of David Lerner Associates. “Sponsoring this event and helping to grow the Police Crisis Fund over the years is a large part of who we are as a company and as a member of the Long Island community.”

Since its inception in 1991, more than 16,000 runners have participated in the David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run, and the event has raised more than $310,000 for the Police Crisis Fund. This ensures it continues to enhance the lives of police officers and their families during times of need.

At the conclusion of this year’s run, Anthony Meere, David Lerner Associates’ Syosset branch manager and Senior Vice President and a former police detective, Alexander Barnych, will present awards to runners in various categories.
