David Lerner Associates Helps Support Local Family in Mourning

David Lerner Associates, a privately held securities broker dealer headquartered in Syosset, New York, recently presented a check in the amount of $2,500 to the family of late Nassau County Police Department Detective Michael Kearns, who passed away from Leukemia in mid-July, 2014. The contribution is part of the Police Crisis Fund, and is intended to help support local police officers’ families who are in emergency situations. The check presentation took place at Detective Kearns’ memorial gathering held in Wantagh.

Each year, David Lerner Associates and the Greater Long Island Running Club (GLIRC) hold the David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run to contribute to the fund and further the charity’s efforts to improve the quality of life for Long Island law enforcement officers and their families as they go through difficult times. The event this past June was the race’s 23rd year, and David Lerner Associates has donated more than $280,000 to the Police Crisis Fund since the event’s inception.
