David Lerner Associates Plans for 24th Long Island Police Appreciation Run
David Lerner Associates, a privately held securities broker dealer headquartered in Syosset, New York, announced today the 24th Annual David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York. The announcement was made along with a check presentation by David Lerner Associates in the amount of $15,000 to the Greater Long Island Running Club, which will help organize the event. All proceeds go toward the Police Crisis Fund, which provides assistance to Nassau and Suffolk County law enforcement officers and their families in times of crisis.

The Police Crisis Fund has helped many families of police officers, who have been fighting through emergency situations. In July of 2014, David Lerner Associates presented a check in the amount of $2,500 to the family of late Nassau County Police Department Detective Michael Kearns who passed away from leukemia. David Lerner Associates has contributed approximately $300,000 to the David Lerner Associates Police Appreciation Run since its inception in 1991.
The David Lerner Associates Police Appreciation 5K Run is open to people of all ages and skill levels. More than 480 runners participated in 2014.
