David Lerner Associates and Greater Long Island Running Club Present Checks to Families of Two Nassau Police Officers

Sadly, COVID has taken its toll on the Nassau County Police Department.

NCPD 3rd Precinct Officer Charles ("Chuck") Vroom succumbed to COVID on September 12th, leaving behind his son Sean.  Officer Mark Kellerman, also of the 3rd Precinct and also a COVID victim, is fighting for his life.  He is the sole supporter of three teenagers.

Fortunately, the Long Island Police Crisis Foundation that is financed by David Lerner Associates and the Greater Long Island Running Club through the proceeds of the annual David Lerner Associates Police Appreciation 5 Kilometer Run, was able to help out with a check in the amount of $1500 to the family of Officer Vroom and a check in the amount of $1500 to the family of Officer Kellerman.  The checks were presented at David Lerner Associates' Syosset facility on October 13th.

Pictured here,  David Lerner Associates CEO & President Martin Walcoe (2nd L) presents the two checks to Nassau Police Running Club President Inspector Alan Hirsch (2nd R) and Nassau PBA 3rd Precinct Delegate Eugene Dolan (R) as Greater Long Island President Mike Polansky (L) and David Lerner Associates Vice President Alex Barnych (C) look on with approval.
