David Lerner Associates Announces Plans for 26th Annual David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run
David Lerner Associates, a privately held securities broker dealer headquartered in Syosset, New York, announced today the 26th Annual David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run will be held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York. The announcement was made along with a check presentation by David Lerner Associates in the amount of $15,000 to the Greater Long Island Running Club, which will help organize the event. All proceeds go toward the Police Crisis Fund, which provides assistance to Nassau and Suffolk County law enforcement officers and their families in times of crisis.
“The David Lerner Associates Police Appreciation Run has become a celebrated Long Island tradition and provides invaluable support for the local police officers who serve our communities,” said John Dempsey, president of David Lerner Associates. “The Police Crisis Fund is a great cause, and one that David Lerner Associates and its staff is passionate about enhancing. This will be the twenty sixth year that we are sponsoring this tremendous event, and we are thrilled with the participation and excitement it generates each year. We encourage everyone to come on June 8 – whether you are running or not – to show your support for Long Island’s police officers.”
More than 520 runners participated in 2016 and David Lerner Associates has contributed approximately $350,000 to the David Lerner Associates Police Appreciation Run since its inception in 1991.
