David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run Has Raised More Than $300,000 for the Police Crisis Fund Over the Past 25 Years
More than 520 Runners Participated in the Annual 5K to Support Local Police Officers and Their Families
Syosset, NY (June 20, 2016) – David Lerner Associates, a privately-held securities broker dealer headquartered in Syosset, New York, recently announced that more than 520 runners participated in the 25th Annual David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run. The event was held at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York, and all proceeds went toward the Police Crisis Fund, which provides assistance to Long Island law enforcement officers and their families dealing with emergency situations.
“The David Lerner Associates Police Appreciation Run is a charity event we are proud to organize every year. David Lerner Associates has organized the event, along with the Greater Long Island Running Club, since its inception in 1991 and has raised more than $300,000. Assistant Branch Manager Alexander Barnych, a former police detective, presented awards to runners in various categories. The winners of this year’s race were Boyd Carrington and Nicole Unger. Ms. Unger was awarded the Susan Lipsig Memorial Award for being the first female to finish the race.
