David Lerner Associates and Greater LI Running Club Host 21st Annual Police Appreciation Run

“David Lerner Associates has been a proud supporter of this Run and the Greater Long Island Running Club for the past 21 years,” said David Lerner, Founder “We contribute to this great cause every year to show our appreciation for everything that local law enforcement does for our community.”

David Lerner Associates recognizes the importance of coming to the aid of the families of our local law enforcement officials and remains dedicated to fund-raising efforts. The Run generates finances for the Police Crisis Fund, which was designed to assist officers in time of need. For instance, David Lerner Associates and the Police Crisis Fund Committee donated $2500 to the family of Officer Thomas Iannucci, to go toward hospital procedures for his 19 month old son, Logan Stryder Iannucci, who was diagnosed with bladder exstrophy at birth. An additional donation of $2500 was made to the family of Special Agent John Capano, the ATF officer who was slain during a Seaford pharmacy robbery on New Year’s Eve.

Registration for the Police Appreciation Run can be completed online at www.glirc.org. The entry fee to participate in the Run is $20 in advance, $25 for those who enter on the day of the Run, $17 for Greater Long Island Runners Club members and a 50% discount is given to students up to and including the high school level.
